About
Hello! I’m Serina, a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, now living in Seattle since 2024. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from Loyola University Maryland and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from Towson University.
During my graduate studies, I discovered a deep passion for working with adults facing speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive challenges. I dedicated myself to completing my clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins' Bayview Medical Center before traveling across the U.S. to provide critical need services in rural hospitals (from South Dakota to California), often working in low-staffed intensive care units. I also worked part time with a remote teletherapy company assessing and treating clients school age and up. After arriving in Seattle, I knew this was the place for me! While working part-time at Harborview Medical Center, I launched my own practice, Speech and Swallowing Services LLC.
As a clinician, my goal is to apply the skills I’ve honed through my work with patients during acute hospitalizations (such as stroke, brain injury, sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and countless others) to guide individuals with ongoing challenges following these events. My hospital experience has made me a skilled diagnostician with a true passion for helping adults achieve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals. I would love to meet you, learn more about you, and determine if we’re a good fit!
